Richard Ray

    Richard E. Ray, age 86, passed away Friday, December 27, 2024 at the U.K. Medical Center.  Richard was born on February 11, 1938 to his parents the late Fred Ray and Larue Rowe Ray.  He was the husband of Annette Allen Ray, a retired state police and detective for the Pike County Sherriff Department as well. 

     Along with his parents, Richard was preceded in death by one stepson:  Michael Westervelt, one brother, Robert Lee Ray, and one sister, Freddie Larue Stewart.

     Along with his wife, Richard is survived by one daughter, Lisa (Darrell) Ratliff, two sons, Richard (Gina) Ray Jr., Ryan (Kara) Ray, six grandchildren, Cassidy Ray, Tyler Ray, Ramsey Ray, Karson Ray, Corey Ratliff, Keshia Edmonds, two great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends 

Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  The funeral will be Tuesday, December 30, 2024, at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
