Robert M. Damron

Robert M. Damron, age 79, of Pikeville, Ky, passed away on May 31, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Robert was born in Pike County, Ky on May 12, 1940 to his parents the late Gilbert Damron and Nellie Damron.  Robert was a coal truck driver and a member of the Island Creek Freewill Baptist Church.  He was the husband of Barbara Sue Damron. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Bobby Damron. Robert is survived by his wife, one son, Gilbert Damron, five daughters, Angie Damron, Cindy Forsyth (Brian), Diana Cole, Dollie Foster, Connie Maynard (Jeff), one sister, Erma Maggard (Joe), sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild, one daughter-in-law, Tammy Damron and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday, June 3, 2019, 6:00 PM at the Island Creek Freewill Baptist Church with church service both Monday and Tuesday night at 7:00 PM.  Funeral will be Wednesday, June 5, 2019, 1:00 PM at the Island Creek Freewill Baptist Church with Freewill Baptist Ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Phillips-Damron Cemetery on Peach Orchard Branch of Island Creek.
