Robert "Bob" Morrow

    Robert H. (Bob) Morrow, age 81, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, Tn.  Bob was born on April 19, 1943 to Finley David Morrow and Edith McClain Morrow.  He was the husband of Anna Jean Branham Morrow, and he proudly served 20 years in the United States Air Force as jet engine mechanic, air traffic controller and recruiter.  He was a member of the Faith  Baptist Church of Myra, and was a mason.  

     In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one son, Robert "Robby, one daughter, Kristi, one sister, Dorothy (Dottie), and two brothers, Marvin and Grady.

     In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by two sons, Kenny Morrow, David (DeAnna) Morrow, two step daughters, Larra (Dusty) Newsome, Lanna (Darrell) Ratliff, five grandchildren, Brittany, Caelen, Bryceton, Mack, Kenny, seven step grandchildren, Robbie, Kourtlie, Kammie, Sydney, Paydi, Luke, and Albany, and one step great grandchild, Saylor,  Also surviving is one sister, Vera (Charlie) Albright, three brothers, Dave (Pat) Morrow, Cottis (Vickie) Morrow, Billy (Pam) Morrow.  Along with many nieces and nephews.  

Bob is also survived by his boat family whom he loved dearly.  His houseboat is where he felt closest to Heaven.

     Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Tuesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at 12 Noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Dave Hammond officiating.  Burial will follow in the Powell Valley Memorial Garden at Big Stone Gap.
