Robert Ervin Newcomb

Robert Ervin Newcomb, age 84, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at his home. Ervin was born on July 8, 1938 to his parents the late Jay Marion Newcomb and Irene Bartley Newcomb. He was the husband of the late Madonna Mullins Newcomb, a retired heavy equipment operator, a member of the Pikeville and Jenkins Masonic Lodge, and a member of the Hellier Missionary Baptist Church. Along with his wife and parents, Ervin was preceded in death by two grandsons, Johnathan Daniel Newcomb, Robert David Newcomb, one brother, James Theodore (Carol) Newcomb, one sister, Charlene Newcomb, one brother in law, Fred Damron, one sister in law, Martha Ann Newcomb. Ervin is survived by one son, David Ervin (Sherrie) Newcomb, one daughter, Paula Kay Newcomb Keathley, one brother, Nolan Eugene Newcomb, two sisters, Helen Marie Damron, Aloma Mae Newcomb Hart, two grandchildren, Samuel Bryan (Catherine) Keathley, Bret Newcomb, several great grandchildren, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Friday, August 19, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Greg Whitetree and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
