Roger Lowell Meade

Roger Lowell Meade, age 74, of Little Creek Road, Pikeville, Ky, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at the Pikeville Medical Center. Roger was born in Pike County, Ky. on February 6, 1945, to his parents the late Welford Meade and Jencie Church Meade. Roger was retired from Whayne Supply where he worked as a part supervisor for many years. He was a member of the Little Creek Old Regular Baptist Church and served his Country Honorably in the Air Force during the Vietnam War.  Roger was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Wanda Lucas, step mother, Lakie Meade. Roger is survived by his wife, Violet Meade, a son, James Raucci (Heather). He is survived by two brothers, Reaford Meade (Linda), Johnny Johnson, five sisters, Nova Compton (Don), Ina Faye Thomas (Paul), Patty Church (John), Brenda Justice (Bruce), Maxie Adams, two grandchildren Braxton Raucci and Kaden Raucci, a brother in law, Junior Lucas and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 23, 2019, at 6:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with services at 7:00 PM. Funeral will be Wednesday, July 24, 2019, at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home, with Teddy Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
