Ruby Hitchcock

Ruby J. Hitchcock, age 81. of McDowell, Ky. passed away on December 22, 2022, at the McDowell ARH Hospital at McDowell, KY. Ruby was born on March 25, 1941 to her parents the late Isaac Spears Jr. and Alberta Hill Spears. She was the wife of the late Ronnie Hitchcock, a homemaker, and a member of the Christian Church of Jesus Christ at McDowell. Along with her husband and parents, Ruby was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Hitchcock Slone, one grandson raised as a son, Brandon Heath Slone, two brothers, Jimmy and Jeffrey Spears, and five sisters, Lillie Collins, Emma Bentley, Violet Bentley, Linda Mullins, and Loretta Spears. Ruby is survived by one son, Ricky Hitchcock, three daughters, Alma (Danny) Tackett, Tonya (Oss Jr.) Farmer, Carolyn (Lisa) Hitchcock Derossett, one brother, Johnny Spears, three sisters, Mary Moore, Mazie Hamilton, Glenda Sue Stumbo, several grandchildren, and great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren. Visitation will be Tuesday at 6p.m. at the Solid Rock Church at Wheelwright. Church services will be Tuesday and Wednesday at 7p.m. at the Solid Rock Church. The funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 at 1 P.M. at the Solid Rock Church at Wheelwright.
