Sammy Junior Williams

Sammy Junior Williams, age 75, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington. Sammy was born in Pike County, Ky. on May 14, 1945, to his parents the late John Williams and Draxie Marrs Williams. Sammy was a retired coalminer from Republic Steel Coal, Inc, and was of the Freewill Baptist Faith. Sammy was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Crystal Renee Williams Collins, three brothers, James Williams, Bobby Williams, Ira Williams, two sisters, Maxine Hill and Elva Spears. Sammy is survived by two sons, Sammy Keith Williams, (Kristina), Jeffery Bill Williams, a brother, Dock Edward Williams, a sister, Faye Keene, seven grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Survived by Marcia Connie Williams a special companion and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Friday, September 25, 2020, at 11:00 AM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral will be Friday, September 25, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins and Chris Keene officiating. Burial will follow in the Ratliff Cemetery at Marrowbone, KY.
