Saran Lee Weir

Saran Lee Weir, age 70, passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at the Pikeville Medical Center. She was born on June 6, 1952 to her parents the late Clarinet Swiney and Betty Jean Rose Swiney. She was the wife of Stephen G. Weir for over 52 years, they were high school sweethearts. They moved from Delaware in 1975 to Kentucky. Saran worked as an office manager for HLT Check Exchange and worked at Elliott Supply and Glass for over 17 years. She was a member of the Ashcamp Church of Christ. Saran enjoyed reading, sewing, and keeping a clean house and helping others. Along with her parents, Saran was preceeded in death by one infant son, Stephen Dewayne Weir. Along with her husband, Saran is survived by two sons, Phillip Stephen Weir, Garrick Travis Weir, four grandchildren, Bradien Weir, Sydney Weir, Kaleigh Weir, Isabella Weir, one great grandchild, and host of loving family and friends. Special Thanks to Sandy Valley Transportation and Pikeville Medical Center nurses and doctors. Visitation will be Wednesday and Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. The funeral will be Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Shawn Wallace, Doug Ramey, and others officiating. Burial will follow in the Johnson Memorial Park.
