Sherry "Annette" Belcher, age 62, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022 at her home. Sherry was born on January 26, 1960 to her parents Phyllis Thacker Campbell and the late Arvil Gillespie. She was the wife of the late David Belcher, a retired employee of 15 years of the housekeeping department for Pikeville Medical Center, and she was a member of the Church of God. She also attended Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church. Along with her husband and father, Sherry was preceded in death by one brother, Dennie Gillespie, one sister, Ethel Darlene Gillespie, her grandparents, Ethel and Ike Thacker, and one nephew, Jordan Johnson. Along with her mother, Sherry is survived by one daughter, Angela Tackett, one brother, Jason Gibson, two sisters, Jackie (Steve) Adkins, Phyllis Gibson, two grandchildren, Elijah Stevens, Aliya Stiltner, a host of loving neices, nephews, family, and friends who will miss her dearly. Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m. The funeral will be Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Moore Cemetery at Garden Village.
