Sue Smallwood Sowards

Sue Smallwood Sowards, age 77, of Dorton, KY, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Sue was born in Pike County, on November 27, 1940, to her parents the late Sylvester Williams and Cynthia Williams. Sue was a retired Project Administrator for the City of Pikeville, a Member of the Board of Directors at Pikeville Medical Center. Sue was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Smallwood, three brothers, Donald Williams, Cecil Williams and Roger Williams.    Sue is survived by her husband, Edmond Sowards.  Sue is survived by one son, Terry (Sarah) Pugh, one brother, Jerry (Donna) Williams, one sister, Jean Choat. She is survived by ten grandchildren, Chase Pugh, Jordan Pugh, Brandon Smallwood, Aaron Smallwood, Adam Smallwood, Daniel Smallwood, Max Sowards, Jason Sowards, Kevin Sowards, Summer Sowards and a host of loving family and friends.Visitation will be Sunday, April 22, 2018, 4:00-7:00 PM at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Monday, April 23, 2018, at 12:00 Noon at the Lucas and Son Funeral Home.  Entombment will follow at the Smallwood Family Cemetery, Dorton, Ky.
