Thomas Thacker

Thomas E. Thacker, age 79, passed away Sunday, August 11, 2019 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Thomas was born on April 19, 1940 to his parents the late Dave Thacker and Opal Goff Thacker.  He was the husband of Nancy C. Thacker, owner and operator of Prestonsburg Auto Sales, and a minister at the Little Rosa Old Regular Baptist Church at McDowell, Ky.       Along with his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his first wife, Sybil Thacker, two brothers, Jack and Bobby Gene Thacker, and two sisters, Mandy Ramey and Bonnie Sue Thacker.      Along with his wife Nancy, Thomas is survived by one daughter, Sandy (Wayne) Morris, two sons, Thomas Rick (Shannon) Thacker, David Ryan (Jill) Thacker, one step sons, A.J. (Kimberly) Harris, six grandchildren, Miranda Blanton, Christina Wright, Thomas Thacker, Kendall Jones, Hannah Manns, Nicholas Thacker, two step grandchildren, Oliver and Olivia Harris, four great grandchildren, Aiden, Adelynn, Sawyer, and Henry, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Monday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Monday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Tuesday, August 13, 2019 at 1p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Clinton Moore and others officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Annie E. Young Mausoleum.
