Timothy Cantrell

Timothy Lance Cantrell, 58 years old of Kimper,  KY,  passed away Friday, September 6, at the Pikeville Medical Center. He was born July 26, 1961 in Jenkins, KY and was the son of Barbara Collins Cantrell and the late James Cantrell. Tim was a  retired heavy equipment operator, served in the Army Reserves, a member of the Hylton Freewill Baptist Church as well as an accomplished musician. Along with his father, Tim was preceded in death by two brothers : James Michael Cantrell and his twin brother Thomas V. Cantrell that passed away April 16, 2018. He is survived by two sons: Timothy Michael Cantrell and his wife Chrystal, Jonathan Eric Cantrell and one daughter, Kaylan Lashae (Cantrell) Jarrell and her husband Korey; Seven Grandchildren: Hailey Cantrell, Laiken Cantrell, Micah Cantrell, Presley Jarrell, Jordyn Cantrell, Jaxson Deaton and Sawyer Cantrell. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 P.M. until 4 P.M. in the Lucas & Son Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will begin Sunday at 4 P.M. with Sam Stevens of the New Day Annointing Worship Center officiating.   A private interment will take place later in the Robert Ratliff Cemetery at Shelby Gap.
