Wanda Thacker

Wanda Sue May Thacker 65, of Elkhorn City, KY , passed away Monday, April 12, 2021 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard, Kentucky. Wanda was born in Pike County, KY March 28, 1956 a daughter of the late Randel and Jettie Murphy May. She was the wife of Garrett Thacker. She worked in retail for 30 years and was a member of the Church of God at Elkhorn City, Kentucky. Along with her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby May, and one sister, Mary Bartley. Along with her husband, Wanda is survived by one son, Joey (Matosha) Thacker, one brother, Roger Dale (Marie) May, two sisters, Ruth Ann (Dean) Thacker, Betty (Johnny) Jones, three grandchildren, Josie, Gracie, and Kelsie, and a host of loving family and friends. Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home. Church services will be Wednesday night at 7p.m. The funeral will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11 A.M. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Scotty Adkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Dow Brooks Cemetery at Draffin.
