William "Bill" Slone

October 20, 1939 — April 2, 2025

    William "Bill" Slone (Buddy) (Cole), age 85, passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2025 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born on October 20, 1939 to his mother, Mary Cole Slone.  He was the husband of the late Cinda Kendrick Slone, parking lot attendant at Community Trust Bank, and a member of Greasy Creek Freewill Baptist Church.

     Along with his wife and mother, Bill was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Mitchell Slone and Randal Jr. Bailey.

    Bill is survived by two daughters, Donna Slone, Jettie Holloway, two sons, William Jr. Slone, Gregory Allen Slone, seven grandchildren, Robert Slone, Crystal Slone, Tasha Holloway, Austine Bailey, Lauren Jackson, Nicholas Slone, Justin Slone, three great grandchildren, Steven Lynch, Alex Holloway, Joseph Lynch, and a host of loving family and friends.

     Visitation will be Thursday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Thursday and Friday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 1 p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery.
