Zanna Boyd

Zanna Slone Boyd, age 80, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center.  Zanna was born on January 16, 1938 to her parents the late Fred Slone and Mary Rose Johnson Slone.  She was the wife of the late Billy Ray Boyd, retired from janitorial work, and a believer of the Freewill Baptist Faith.    Along with her husband and parents, Zanna was preceded in death by one son, Robin Boyd, two brothers, Ted (Bye) Slone, Roy Slone, and three sisters, Gladys Hinkle, Vivian Mullins, and Charlotte Slone.     Zanna is survived by two sons, Fred (Tammy) Boyd, Bobby Ray (Celistean) Boyd, one brother, Jack (Sue) Slone, one sister, Avonelle (Jerry) Kubrick, two granddaughters, Angela (Matthew) Justice, Teana McMurry, two great grandsons, Jordan Ray Boyd, Peyton McMurry, special sister in law, Lynn Rita Maynard, host of loving nieces and nephews, family and friends.    Visitation will be Wednesday at 6p.m. at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home.  Church services will be Wednesday at 7p.m.  The funeral will be Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 12 noon at the Lucas & Son Funeral Home with Jimmy Jack Adkins officiating.  Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery
